[ About ]
Watch this video to hear from quizzers, parents and pastors about what Quiz Meet has meant to them, and the impact it can have on the young people in your church.
The scope
For every
church.
Interdenominational in scope, Quiz Meet encourages young people to systematically memorize God’s Word and quiz on it each week alongside their friends.
The impact
It doesn’t stop when quizzing ends.
Through Bible quizzing, many quizzers gain a strong foundation grounded in God’s Word hidden in their hearts, equipping them for active ministry throughout their lives.
“Our desire is to see as many young people memorizing as much of God’s Word as possible.”
[ Our history ]

It is our desire that wherever a young person quizzes, the experience should be the same, regardless of location.
[ Who runs it ]
Shea Durston
Director of Quiz Meet
Shea quizzed his way through grades 7 to 12 and memorized thousands of verses, to the point he could quote Hebrews backwards, verse by verse. He experienced first hand that God’s Word does not return void. It gave him a foundation of truth that has been a lamp to his path, and opened the way to full time ministry.
Shea has led Quiz Meet since 2015 alongside the staff of UB David & I’LL B Jonathan, and pastors at Heritage Alliance Church. He and his wife Sharlyn have five children.

[ Good to know ]
The New King James Version. The answer to every question is word for word from the New King James Scripture text.
Three to four young people in grades 7-12 is enough to form your first team. As your program grows, more quizzers simply means more teams.
About four to seven verses a week for Club 150, and about ten verses for Club 300. Full material, depending on the year, can range from 15 to 40 verses per week (yes, some quizzers do it).
Churches run independent weekly quiz practices September through May, then gather for three Quiz Meet weekends throughout the quizzing year, each hosted at a local church, camp or Bible school, where they compete on the verses they memorized.
There is no cost to start a program in your church. Quiz books are $7.50 to $17.50, and each Quiz Meet weekend has a registration fee.
Not in your first year. We offer to loan a full set of benches and a control box to new churches. After that, benches are $2,500 and a control box is $550.
We offer virtual training workshops to help your church and its leaders start confidently. In-person workshops may be possible depending on location.
[ Not in your province? ]
We are always looking to expand and grow this ministry, bringing Quiz Meet to more churches and into new provinces across Canada. If you’d like to see a Quiz Meet program start in your community, we’d love to talk.
